Convenience Stores Nationwide Unite for 24/7 Day to Honor First Responders |
Thousands of stores across the U.S. offer free beverages and support to local heroes on July 24 |
On July 24, convenience stores across the United States will come together for the seventh annual 24/7 Day, a nationwide initiative to honor the unwavering dedication of first responders.
From small hometown chains to national operators, more than 35,000 stores—including Yesway and Allsup’s locations in nine states—will offer free beverages to active-duty EMTs, firefighters, law enforcement officers, medical personnel, 911 dispatchers, and Red Cross volunteers.
Beginning July 21 and running through July 24, first responders can stop by participating stores in uniform or with proper ID to receive a complimentary fountain drink of any size.
On the official 24/7 Day—July 24 itself—stores will also hand out free 30.4-ounce bottles of Core Hydration water, ensuring heroes stay refreshed during long shifts.
Beyond these tokens of appreciation, the campaign raises funds and awareness for disaster relief: a portion of in-store donations supports Red Cross operations, which respond to emergencies every eight minutes.
This year’s theme, “We See You. We Thank You.,” highlights the unseen sacrifices that keep communities safe.
The NACS Foundation is also launching its inaugural First Responder of the Year Award, with the winner earning a year’s worth of free fuel.
By combining heartfelt gestures, charitable giving, and broad industry participation, 24/7 Day transforms everyday store visits into powerful moments of gratitude and support for the people who serve around the clock. |
